I had the opportunity to have a real experience on many ventures, which increased my sphere of knowledge to a great extent. I was entrusted with a real life project, working on which had finally made me step into the ongoing technology and gradually become a part of it.I learnt about the laser diodes - types, design, properties, functions and applications. To be more precise, SSPL is a premier DRDO lab working in the field of semiconductor devices - Semiconductor laser diode.My project dealt with the design of the jig, as per the requirements of the GaAs wafer which is very fragile in nature, in which it has to be washed and cleaned to further work upon in the lab. It has been successfully completed in the designing software i.e. Autocad.And also I learnt about the fabrication of laser diode in the lab and designed the mechanically operated stirrer mechanism as per the lab requirements, which can be further improved by operating it with a single servo motor or by using a single micro-controller in the mechanism.
