World Food & Ingredients is a major food ingredients distribution company based in Moscow, Russia that supplies prominent buyers such as Nestle and Unilever. My role as a Business Development Specialist for this organisation was to identify areas that were lacking in efficiency and develop systems to improve them. I was also involved in designing and implementing new ventures for the company given the industry context to generate additional revenue streams. I took a lead role in developing the following for the business:- Introducing Digital Marketing strategies through Social Media and other online communication tools to bring in new clients and maintain existing buyer relationships- Producing weekly market reports that are sent to over 500 buyers across Russia which detail news events that are affecting the food industry worldwide. These reports included my own personal analysis and recommendations for buyers in approaching their future stock acquisitions given my research on the global, and local context.- Introducing a proficient stock inventory management system to keep track of incoming and outgoing containers of goods - Building upon an orders management system for the company to easily keep track of daily activities- Building a high quality website and online store for the company- Quarterly and Yearly analysis of all sales in a thorough context and regular presentations with top management to form business decisions using this data- Implementing the use of QR systems to improve the supply chain network and provide transparency to buyers - Training existing employees to make use of these new systems within the company

ABALOBI connects small scale fishing communities in the Western Cape to buyers all across South Africa, being one of the most reputable distributors of seafood to revolutionise the seafood industry. Working at ABALOBI allowed me to gain experience and get involved in a multitude of essential business processes including:- Costs and expenses analysis for logistics and distribution - New venture research and planning- Customer and client satisfaction- Designing operational protocols to streamline logistical and marketing processes- Assistance in Supply chain coordination and management

I took part in an internship at this Accounting firm whereby I consolidated my skills in producingbalance sheets, working on journals and improving my knowledge of various accounting methods andspecialized software.
