Managed $3 million portfolio of change projects for cash equities and listed options operations in the Americas. Led team of 3 project managers/business analysts.  Managed operational change to enable key business initiatives including the sale of UBS Brazil, the build out of new electronic trading products, and the integration of UBS with a new Brazil broker dealer. Migrated the Soft Dollar team and all related processes from the Cash Equities Business to Equities Operations. Created dashboard reporting to enable the Business leaders to analyze client data effectively. Enabled savings in excess of one million dollars by building business cases to decommission legacy settlement system in Canada and also to eliminate paper confirmations.  Other key projects include:o Technology and process change to support industry changes including Options Symbology Initiative.o Remediation of process and technology controls around key securities regulatory report, Bluesheets.

Dual responsibility: Managed team of 2-4 project managers/business analysts and also managed the 4-6 person middle office technology team of application developers , QA, and production support..  Enabled new retail trading business that effectively increased trading volume >400% by integrating Schwab Capital Markets trading technology into the UBS infrastructure.  Managed the implementation of a new client commission/allocation tool to process US and Canadian direct market, strategy, and worked order flow.  Achieved significant savings through the decommission of legacy vendor trading applications (Brass and Nyfix.)

Managed team of developers, project managers, and business analysts. Team size ranged from 5-10. Co-managed technology stream of strategic project to merge the UBS Investment Bank and UBS Wealth Management back offices.  Supported significant increases in volume following the UBS/PaineWebber merger by upgrading key middleware technologies that transmit data from trading applications to settlement applications. Implemented disaster recovery solutions for all Back-Office applications.

Developed and maintained application that calculates American Stock Exchange indices and then transmits the data to the AMEX Trading Floor. Developed on Unix using several software packages including Tibco, Applix, and Bridge market data. Worked as independent contractor during this period. From Feb 1996 through June 1998, worked in a full time capacity in this role.

Enabled significant volume increases following the merger of UBS and Swiss Bank by upgrading key middleware applications that support Bank Operations. Developed in C++ and SQL on Unix and Sybase platforms.
