With over 20 years of experience in the field of humanitarian conflict management, I care about improving the effectiveness and accountability of peacebuilding, organizational development, and humanitarian action wherever communities experience conflict. As a member of the board of directors at CDA Collaborative Learning Projects, I contribute to the strategic direction, governance, and oversight of the organization, while also leveraging my experience in organizational development, mediation, and humanitarian communication. I am motivated by CDA's mission to help operational organizations and policymakers deliver programming and develop policies that enable lasting peace, and I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team from my previous roles in restorative practices, positive youth development, and community engagement.Before joining CDA, I was a senior advisor at Conflict Dynamics International, where I worked closely with local partners to support people to develop, agree, and implement practical arrangements for dialogue processes and governance arrangements that balance diverse interests and address inequality and exclusion. I also helped to shape efforts to improve the policy and practice of humanitarian action and inform the work to protect children in armed conflict. In this role, I applied my skills in intercultural dialogue, trust-based philanthropy events, and transformative mediation, as well as my certifications from the Harvard Mediation Program and the Center for Conflict Resolution.
