Administration, event planning and support of in-house professional development training

Trevecca Nazarene University is a non-profit Christian university in the heart of Nashville. While employed at Trevecca my various positions included; sales associate in the university bookstore, receptionist, administrative assistant, and for the last 4 1/2 year of my tenure I was the Assistant to the Dean, in the School of Education (SOE). My major responsibilities in this position included planning and organizing all major events hosted by the Dean and Directors in the SOE, office manager, oversight of student workers, management of the Dean's calendar and phone calls. I also prepared professional memberships for SOE faculty, submitted registrations for conferences, arranged travel, created, processed and approved expense reimbursements, invoices, and ordering of supplies. I planned and attended all Dean and Director's Council meetings, SOE events, department and university wide meetings. I was the SOE liaison and responsible for arranging training and conference space for off campus groups using the education building. While the responsibilities of this position were very diverse in nature, and at times extremely challenging; I loved it! I am most grateful for the opportunity I had to work with the amazing Dr. Suzanne Harris, Dean, the wonderful students, best of the best faculty, and fabulous staff!
