Assistant Product Manager for Secure Flight User Interfaces in support of Secure Flight Requirements and Capability.

Managing team of Privacy professionals supporting the Secure Flight mission, helping to ensure compliance with privacy guidelines, policies and regulations.

Directly responsible for the on-site staff’s execution of the tasks outlined in the statement of work and management of the team’s daily activities. In addition, acting as the Privacy SME assigned to the SF Business Architecture Process and Planning (BAPP) team. The BAPP Team is responsible for business requirements and process development, as well as drafting and ensuring the completion of documents such as the Concept of Operations that describes the end-to-end business process and business use cases. Responsibilities also include providing support to the Privacy Team by acting as the project SME as well as the liaison between the Privacy Team and BAPP to ensure privacy is embedded and the program remains compliant during all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle. Also responsible for working in partnership with the Secure Flight Program Deputy Director to provide privacy guidance, expertise and analysis as required, to the Secure Flight program staff, both Government and contractors and with the Secure Flight Government Sensitive Security Information (SSI) Coordinator. In the SSI support role, assistance is provide to ensure communications and documents produced by the program are mark appropriately and to ensure the program maintains compliant with SSI regulations, as well as DHS and TSA directives, policies, and guidance.

Directly responsible for integrating with SF Business Architecture Process and Planning (BAPP) team. The BAPP Team is responsible for business requirements and process development, as well as drafting and ensuring the completion of documents such as the Concept of Operations that describes the end-to-end business process. Also responsible for providing support to the Privacy Team by acting as the Liaison between the Privacy Team and BAPP to ensure that the principles of the Privacy Act and identified privacy issues are incorporated and or addressed during the development of SF business requirements, processes and documentation under the purview of BAPP. Also responsible for working in partnership with the acting Privacy Advocate for SF to provide privacy guidance, expertise and analysis as required, to the BAPP team members, both Government and contractors.

August 2006 - September 2008 | 2 years 1 month | Annapolis Junction/JessupResponsible for a small team of SRA IA analysts and engineers responsible for supporting the IRS C&A Project. The team developed C&A products compliant with applicable Federal directives and guidelines; and, provided analytical and technical expertise to produce deliverable C&A documents that complied, specifically, with Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-130, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-53 and other NIST guidance. Responsible for the development, content and integrity of System Security Plans (SSPs) developed for the Small Business/Self-Employed BSD at the IRS, in accordance with NIST SPs 800-18 and 800-53, Security Risk Assessments (RAs) in accordance with NIST SP 800-30 and Information Technology Contingency Plans (ITCPs) in accordance with NIST SP 800-34.

Responsible for a small SRA team consisting of an Information Assurance Engineer and a Principal Consultant. This team worked closely with the Deputy Chief Information Officer for IA (DCIO-IA) to develop formal internal NAVSEA Headquarters and NAVSEA Enterprise policies, procedures and guidelines for daily application in the protection, security and assurance of NAVSEA and Federal information and information system resources. The SRA team assisted the NAVSEA DCIO-IA in preparing Certification & Accreditation documentation for submission to the Designated Approving Authority (DAA). The team also managed the IA Resource Desk and maintained the IA web pages residing on NAVSEA’s intranet, Inside NAVSEA City.
