Starting a photography business led to my passion for media arts and digital entrepreneurship. I developed my skills as a freelance artist - excelling in portrait photography and the art of both written and visual storytelling, using digital marketing strategies to enable organic business growth on various social media channels.

Social Media + Events Manager: Promoted and given the responsibility of managing Market Street Shoes’ social media channels, implementing current marketing strategies, and diversifying the target audience. Created marketing content for products and events across all media channels, including photo, video, and graphic design assets. Corresponded with local artists, aided in setting up, and co-hosted during Art Walk.Sales Lead: Updated store inventory using the POS Inventory Management software and synchronized available products online to Shopify and various social media channels when new shipments came in.Maintained an attractive shop environment by updating displays and keeping mannequins on trendWelcomed every customer and worked one-on-one to help them find the perfect fit.

Publishing, designing, and handling various digital marketing materials and activities, as well as consistently updating social media channels for the Seattle-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Contributed to enhancing the organization's image, improving digital communication with the music community, and encouraging organic business growth through effective campaigns and user engagement. Maintained an understanding of different touchpoints that are highly effective in digital campaigns, enhancing user experience, and delivering on digital objectives while working with the design team and creative director. Furthered my interpersonal skills, my eye for fashion, as well as my merchandising skills while working for the locally-owned boutique in Central Oregon. Skillfully opened and closed the store, and ensured that every customer was cared for. Produced product photography for the company's social media channels.

Worked with the California-based company to pitch our services in-person at vintage apparel businesses in Seattle, photographed the product, and data-inputted each item's specifications before going live on the website. Furthered my interpersonal skills, as I was tasked with developing & maintaining positive relationships with various business owners in Seattle.

Learned a multitude of skills, ranging from brand knowledge and shoe care, to how to hold a real person-to-person conversation in order to have each client feel comfortable and help find what they're searching for. Completed The Friedman Group's course on Gold Star Selling.

Helped with the opening of their second store, which taught me the ins-and-outs of merchandising and how to set up attractive displays. Here is where I started to dip my toes into the local-business scene, which is what started my passion for small businesses and helping them grow as a company. I further developed my eye for fashion, and also took the opportunity to take product and event photography for use on their Facebook, social media, and website.

This was my first job in a retail environment, which enabled me to come out of my shell and converse confidently with a diverse array of clientele. Here I learned the basics of retail and customer service, and I was able to use those skills with every endeavor I took on in the future.
