I prepare orders and ensure specifications are met that are required by librarians and school districts , I relay any problems to the correct department if issues need to be fixed, and enter any data necessary to ensure labels are precise. once orders are ensured to be correct, labels and/or barcodes are printed out and also checked for accuracy, so they can be sent to the next step and be processed.

As a processor I prepared books based on library specifications. I was responsible for accurately and efficiently applying plastic protective book coverings, labels, pockets and other miscellaneous materials to books and non-print materials.

I operate embroidery machines placing designs on garments based off different specifications given by companies. I complete orders by organizing, planning and prioritizing my work. Much of the time we work in teams and communication is a huge part of everyday to ensure everyone is on the same page and we can get orders out as quickly and efficiently as possible. Once orders are completed, we are to clean and inspect each piece to insure we are sending out the best product possible. Occasionally when needed we are to move the completed garments and prepare them for shipping by confirming the order is complete in the system, printing the required labels and placing in their proper location within the warehouse. In my short time there I have not only learned my duties as an embroiderer, but I have also been cross trained in the wiring department which puts together cabling kits and additionally puts together wires and in the shipping department, picking orders, ensuring correct items are being sent out, packaging and adhering proper labels.

I operated a variety of industrial machines such as a single needle, serger, cover stitch, and flatlock. I performed basic maintenance on this equipment. I efficiently constructed custom sublimated team uniforms to a high standard following specific guidelines. I conducted in-process quality checks on garments to ensure stitching and design was correct. I paid special attention to detail by ensuring quantity, sizing, color, and design were correct for each order. I repaired garments along with completing special projects such as attaching patches, elastic, or tags. I have also constructed sample garments to test potential designs. As a Customer Technical Support Representative, my job was to receive and make calls to resolve significant technical issues with the customer’s home security equipment. I helped customers with complex issues by identifying the problem and explaining the possible cause, replicating the problem and walking them through to try to fix the problem. Being bilingual I was the only tech support in our department so I was able to help all the Spanish speaking customers as they would always be transferred to me for help. I worked every position from cashier, stocking running the fabric cutting counter, to the occasional planogram set up while always providing a professional, friendly demeanor. Attention to detail was an important part of my job to ensure accuracy when I handled cash and credit transactions, managed inventory, and cut exact measurements of fabric. I developed proficient knowledge of the many craft skills Joann Fabrics caters to, so I could best lead and advise customers on products so they could complete their projects.
