I have served in the ambulatory EMR software industry for over 20 years and have experience with FQHC and CHC health centers.As a Conversion Coordinator, I served as the liaison between clients and EMR conversion developers. My responsibilities included building conversion processes and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all patient data being converted. As a Project Manager, I was responsible for EMR Implementation projects of all sizes from contract hand-off and requirements definition to project planning, implementation, training, and consulting. I maintained knowledge of clinic operations, billing, clinical services, and front and back office needs. I was responsible for both New Business Projects as well as Upgrade Projects and worked with key team members to build client relationships throughout the project. I provided exceptional customer service and monitored and communicated project successes and risks both internally and externally. As Manager of the Interoperability Implementation/QA/Support Department - I coordinated and scheduled Project Managers to ensure successful customer implementations. I coordinated quality assurance validation of Interoperability-related changes to the software and worked with sales in creating quotes for HL7 interfaces. I participated in project kickoff/handoff sessions with sales as well as attended scoping calls with sales, vendors, and clients to determine and validate interface desires and functionality. I managed HL7 support and after-hours on-call support team as well as directed vendors and internal operations groups to ensure accurate and on-time data transmission.
