Pro Bono Law Ontario (PBLO) at SickKids (formerly called the Family Legal Health Program) is a free legal service located at SickKids for patients and families referred by clinical staff and helps low and moderate income patients and families deal with legal challenges that impact the patient's health and/or the family's capacity to care for their sick child. Performed evaluations of the program at the pilot stage, including data analysis and follow-up interviews with referring hospital staff, lawyers and clients. Conducted legal research for lead counsel and assisted with client intake interviews and file management.

Conducted two research projects in the area of Folic Acid and Carcinogenesis: (i) Epigenetic changes involving DNA methylation status, and (ii) The effect of folic acid on bone health and osteoporosis. Performed experimental laboratory assays, data and statistical analysis. Presented research results at national and international conferences and drafted manuscripts for publication.
