Develop strategic priorities and initiatives that link the university with the community. Responsible for the fiscal and operational oversite of the Center and for developing and overseeing public programs that comport with the Bildner Center’s mission particularly those that promote tolerance, understanding and reduce bias. Founding director of the annual Rutgers Jewish Film Festival, a two week cultural event which attracts over 6,000 people. Direct the Littman Families Holocaust Resource Center which trains public school educators, and provides a range of public programs. Develop strategic marketing plans and oversee Bildner Center’s publicity and publications. Work with university and community leadership on fundraising, and fostering donor and community relations as well as building strategic partnerships within the university and on a national and international level.

Manage the Bildner Center and its outreach initiatives linking the university to the community through public lectures, cultural events, conferences, and public education initiatives. Responsible for agency -wide program development, implementation, budget and evaluation. Administered 600 camper day camp. Coordinated Jewish book fair and Jewish film series. Supervised full and part-time staff who developed Judaic, cultural and educational programs for children, teens, and families. Supervised graduate student intern. Staffed volunteer committees. Prepared and solicited grants from the Jewish Federation and other foundations. Liaison with Jewish Federation for two major grants.

Provided staff support to planning and budgeting committees including National and Overseas Services, Camping, and Special Needs. Reviewed grant proposals for Jewish identity programs and Jewish special education programs. Administered city-wide camp scholarship fund. Monitored and evaluated community funded projects for Jews with disabilities. Federation liaison to Hillel of Greater Philadelphia, the Board of Rabbis, and the Jewish Chaplaincy Service, including agency budget review. Directed agency review of Board of Rabbis and Jewish Chaplaincy Service which led to merger.
