• Own and define research strategy and roadmap for my organization(s), often across multiple product streams and stakeholders. • Design individual research studies using a range of methodologies and tools including but not limited to online surveys, behavioral research, diary studies, task-based usability, 1:1 qualitative interviews, and FDA validation.• Support research needs across the product development process including generative, evaluative, and validation research. • Translate consumer research data into user insights and actionable requirements; report out findings to cross functional teams to define actions and implementation plans.• Design and conduct research for medical devices within the appropriate rules and regulations.• Responsible for all research operations - building 4 research programs from scratch - including program infrastructure such as intake systems, research roadmaps, documentation templates, and other standard ways of working.

• Create strategic research plans across multiple business categories and gain alignment with Product Managers, Business Leadership stakeholders and cross functional team members including design and engineering • Collect objective evidence to validate business strategies across multiple, global consumer segments through different forms of idea and concept testing • Conduct regional as well as global studies that involve multiple countries using partner research agencies for study execution • Design research including both quantitative and qualitative consumer research studies • Lead end to end study execution including development, protocol writing, screening and recruitment, interviewing, and report writing • Generate detailed questionnaires and reports giving actionable recommendations across the business • Define user experience requirements to guide medical device validation research. • Translate consumer research data into user insights and actionable requirements; report out findings to cross functional teams to define actions and implementation plans • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to affirm any product changes throughout the product development lifecycle continue to meet consumer expectations • Incorporate problem solving skills and techniques to ensure project timelines are met • Champion and be point of contact for Clinical Research to help and support all researchers on process and areas for improvement • Lead multiple process improvement projects and Philips centrally led efforts for User Experience e.g. improving user support/help journey, improving directions for use, user segmentation • Mentor and coach contractors and new hires including onboarding, teaching research design, principles and research execution
