Senior Financial Analyst
CurrentAid WaterOne divisions with annual operating and maintenance expense budget, annual capital budget and five-year capital planning.Assist WaterOne divisions with analysis related to new personnel requests in the annual budget and five-year personnel plan.Update the Master Plan Capital Fund and Transmission & Distribution Capital Fund models and complete the corresponding monthly financial reporting.Complete a monthly budget versus actual variance analysis for operating and maintenance expenses as well as annual capital projects.Lead other financial analysts in reviewing and analyzing historical financial information and financial statements including ratio analysis. Create pro-forma financial statements for projections and analysis.Create, improve, and maintain complex financial planning models including cost of service models.Utilize data from an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system as well as other databases to perform elaborate analysis using advanced statistical methods.Create and lead other financial analysts in developing capital budgeting analysis including the calculation of net present value, internal rate of return, payback period, and discounted payback period as well as related sensitivity analysis.Create, review, improve, and lead other financial analysts in developing written and oral presentations of financial and related operational data used by management to make financial decisions. Also, routinely give oral presentations internally or externally.Manage or assist other financial analysts in managing a project from start to finish. The project can be within finance, a cross-divisional effort, with external entities, or any combination of all three. Work with other finance staff and external consulting professionals on issuing new and refunding existing tax-exempt bonds. Also, develop bond financing plans including the timing and size of new or refunding issues along with the corresponding bond maturity schedule.
