Dr. Karima Ladhani is the Founder & CEO of Barakat Bundle, a non-profit that creates life-saving bundles for mothers and newborns in South Asia, and Giving Cradle, a social enterprise that creates safe, sustainable maternal & newborn products that give back. She is committed to giving every mother and newborn an equal chance and is particularly passionate about human-centered design and equitable interventions for populations in need.As an independent strategy and innovation consultant, Dr. Ladhani works with clients such as universities, incubators, and accelerators at the intersection of social innovation and international development to drive impact. In this role, she continues her commitment to uplifting the lives of others and shares her learnings to empower others to do the same. In addition, Dr. Ladhani serves as Visiting Faculty at Harvard University on the Core Panel of the Future of Health and Economic Resilience in Africa Initiative led by Ministers Muhammad Pate of Nigeria and Awa Marie Coll Seck of Senegal. She is also an Entrepreneur in Residence supporting student entrepreneurs at the Georgetown McDonough School of Business. Previously, she led program development & research at the Harvard Ministerial Leadership Program, where she works with government ministers to support transformational human development. She has received numerous awards including the Top 50 South Asian Founders to Watch, Aspen Ideas Festival Global Voices Scholar, Harvard Undergraduate Women in Business Award, Harvard Business School New Venture Award, LinkedIn For Good Award, and WeWork Creator Award. Johnson & Johnson named her one of six “big thinkers poised to reshape healthcare for future generations.”Dr. Ladhani completed Bachelors degrees in Math from the University of Waterloo and in Business Administration from the Wilfrid Laurier University followed by Masters and Doctoral degrees in Public Health from Harvard University.
