Welcome to my LinkedIn profile.I am already two decades active in the Offshore Industry. I guess I started (Oil and Gas) just like many of us at the bottom and worked through the years my way up. Started preparing drawings using CAD package. After a while when I demonstrated enough dedication, I was granted the opportunity to learn FEA. I have spent many years doing this work I loved so much. After a couple of years, I mastered the techniques and was able to do full analysis such as, in place analysis (including soil characteristics), dynamic fatigue analysis, transport analysis and lifting analysis of offshore platforms, satellites and jack ups. Where would I be if after performing these analyses, no reporting was done. I learned to prepare proper reports with high quality that need to be reviewed by CA, such as DNV, GL, LR and others. Little did I know that the years that I spend in this period would be the basis of my future career. Gaining experience, shaping and polishing my character, personality, mentality and values as the years were passing.I have jumped from engineering to fabrication at a certain time in my career to understanding fabrication to its full extend. In this phase of my career I also shifted to leadership. It fascinated me to master complex projects with returning topics like scope, budget, planning, progress, quality and contract. How can you master such projects and at the same time lead, motivate and coach a team? This was an interesting period.I have been responsible as manager operation of projects and engineering. Executing the daily and annual duties, such as (but not limited to) leading/managing (functions, processes, procedures, safeguarding projects, ensure company policy), coaching, motivating, recruiting, outsourcing, contributing to long term and short-term organizational planning. But also conducting annual appraisals and helping to define a personal development plan.Another part as manager operations was participating in the management team. Being part of the management team, I contributed to establish company annual budget, workload forecast, strategic execution of projects, short term and long-term planning (strategic wise), member of steering committees.I have worked in an international environment and crossed national borders.
