Organize and create learning experiences to inspire young minds with the TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) in the English Language Arts Classroom. Teaching English at the high school level require horizontal and vertical collaboration between colleagues to best support a diverse population of learners through in-person and virtual/digital platforms. A majority of the profession is the ability to make content engaging and exciting for students through interactive presentations, use of applications, and assessing their performance through online means. It also includes demonstrating and guiding students on how to be productive and intelligent citizens on and off the web, while applying lessons learned through the ELA curriculum.

Co-taught English 1 and 2 to 9th and 10th graders. I also taught 3 different ESL classes (newcomers, English 1 for ELs, and English 2 for ELs) for all four years. During my time as an English and ESL Teacher, I was also selected to be the ESL Program Coordinator that required holding monthly meetings with the ESL team and planning/coordinating the annual state testing for English Learners in California (ELPAC). My responsibilities also included tracking the English Learner students in the school and providing training to the site's EL support team.
