I am currently serving as the Director of Human Resources for the Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board. My experience includes HR Consulting and outsourced HRM, HRIS, as well as several years managing Tribal Public Behavioral Health projects. My education consists of bachelors degrees in Psychology and Business Administration, and I hold senior level certifications in the Human Resources field (SPHR and SHRM-SCP). My professional areas of expertise include applying principles of Industrial/Organizational Psychology to business strategy and functions, as well as a heavy emphasis on technology and data analysis. I have a strong desire to continuously expand my knowledge throughout my lifetime, and have a wide variety of interests. I'm extremely organized and love working with numbers (especially Excel). I'm an early adopter of technology and firmly believe in the values of innovation, sustainability, and building employees as business assets. After spending several years working inside non-profit organizations serving at-risk youth, and raising a child inside Portland's autism community, I have become a passionate advocate for neurodiversity specifically, as well as equity and inclusion issues in general. Contributing to these causes, in whatever capacity I'm fortunate to have an impact, is an underlying motivation to any activity I devote myself to, professional or otherwise. In my free time, I can be found exploring nature, singing at my piano, biking around Portland, gardening, or immersing myself in DIY projects.
