As a Family Advocate, I get the opportunity to work with low income families. With those I get to work with I get to help them learn to advocate for themselves. I am able to provide resources, opportunities to further their education, and further other necessary life skills. I also get to work with the child that is in our program. Most of the children have some form of delay, whether it is cognitive or fine motor. The families that I get to work with, we become a team, I am there for support and for teaching. The family is there to learn and improve their life, if they are willing. As a company we try to teach parents to be their child's # 1 teacher, and we teach the parents how to help themselves in life. It's a great program and the differences that it can make in people's lives is amazing to see.

As a house manager I was able to work with an older man who had both mental and physical health conditions. I had other staff that worked along side of me to take care of this man and give him the best quality of life we could. It was a very humbling experience to work with this client- with him having complete trust in me to make sure his needs were taken care of. It also improved my communication skills while also giving me many opportunities to learn from others around me. It was an amazing experience and a good company to work with.

This job was part time, and I loved it. I worked with different grade levels and really enjoyed helping children learn. I worked with 4th graders, ones with the higher grades in writing. I got to work with them and teach them further writing skills for the future. I got to work with the first graders one on one with sight words and testing them; Helping them figure out the difference between different letters. I also got to work with the Kindergarten class. It was the best part of the day, Every week was a new letter and every day was a different twist on that letter. They were so eager to learn, and it was so fun helping them learn the very basic building blocks to grow their future on.
