I taught pre-service elementary teachers how to not ruin their students' lives, particularly as it concerns Mathematics. We cover topics aligned with the Illinois Learning Standards and the Common Core. Content and methodology are taught in tandem. The bottom line: Even adult students who were historically poor at math but endeavor to have their own self-contained or middle school classroom can become excellent math teachers. I gave them the tools and pathway to achieve that.

I gained visibility through web and print for this innovative, technically-oriented concept farm in the heartland.

I managed the technology needs of St. Mary's. This included installing and managing a totally open-source computer lab with a Ubuntu server and Edubuntu workstations.

In the infancy of Case's AFS (Advanced Farming Systems) division, the work was as exciting as it was varied. As a project manager there, I supervised a mapping computer lab (staffed with GIS specialists), I acted as a liaison among the software development, technical support, and mapping departments to develop an intuitive end-user interface. I also participated in phone support, on-site support, and technical training for end users (farmers, implement dealers).
