Accountable to the Director of Engineering, for the leadership of the Maintenance Systems & facilities assets to support UK operations goals and objectives.

The role will lead the Process Engineering team and OEE improvement programs to support Pencoed Operations’ business plan, goals and objectives. The team will focus on equipment performance and sustainability which is key to the plants’ success.

Working within the Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) department and reporting directly to the MES Engineering Manager.Duties & Responsibilities:•Implementation of automation projects, ensuring that projects are delivered toagreed quality, cost and delivery requirements.•Provide technical leadership, ownership and hands-on proficiency in the resolution ofsoftware and controls systems issues.•Site technical lead for all control system aspects of specification, design and faultdiagnosis for all onsite operations assets.•Ability to interrogate and have a basic understanding of software packages such asMSSQL, RSSQL, INSQL, Intouch-Wonderware SCADA, Delphi, Bosch RexrothHNC.•Development of routine maintenance procedures and service contract activities forsoftware and control systems onsite. • MES Engineer responsible for the design, implementation and testing of project specific Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and system integration solutions, to enhance cutting edge process automation solutions meeting production requirements. • Responsible for the daily maintenance of the MES solutions, as well as the continuous improvements to the current systems.• Responsible for the plant PLC control systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens and B&R), HMI, Robotics, Servo drives, Labelling machines and Vision systems.
