Ramp service agents load and unload aircraft, perform aircraft cleaning, service aircraft water and lavatory systems and drive airport equipment on the ramp.When a person checks in at the airport, their luggage is placed on a moving bag belt which is transferred to the bag room for sorting and allocation to the correct flight. This is the realm of the ramp service agent.Once the aircraft arrives, it is the ramp service agents role to marshal the aircraft onto the parking bay and position all ground support equipment (GSE) and guide passengers into the terminal. It is then required to unload the aircraft of passenger baggage and freight and transfer it to the terminal for passenger pickup. Prior to passengers boarding the aircraft for its next flight sector, ramp service agents may clean the aircraft cabin and service the aircraft potable water and lavatory systems. When all baggage checks are complete, baggage handlers will then load the aircraft holds with the passenger baggage, and any additional freight, before marshalling or pushing the aircraft onto the taxi way using a specialised push back tractor.

The role of the Communications and Information System Controller (CISCON) is to provide Information and Communications Technology (ICT) support to enhance the capability of deployed forces, local commanders, higher commands and national authorities. CISCONs are responsible for providing both secure and non-secure; voice, data, video, message services and information technology to the Australian Defence Organisation utilising a variety of communication medium.CISCONs are employed in a range of tasks including management and operation of ICT systems, including Local Area Networks, Wide Area Networks, Web publishing and database management, Communications Security, strategic and field communications and ground-to-air communications.

The role of a Motor Transport Driver (MTD) in the Royal Australian Air Force is to provide driving support within all areas of operations. MTD personnel within the Royal Australian Air Force are trained in preparation for their operational role in one of the RAAF operational units. These units may include expeditionary and in-situ combat support squadrons, logistics operational support units, combat support hospitals, maintenance or flying squadrons, wings and higher command headquarters. MTD personnel may also be employed to undertake driving instructor duties.MTD personnel will be employed in core driver duties involving the operation of specialist vehicles, including aircraft refuelling tankers, runway sweepers, forklifts and the transport and storage of explosive ordnance and hazardous stores.
