Hello and thank you for visiting my profile! I am a highly motivated individual with a great interest in higher education and international education. My skills are heavily focused upon organization, research and interpersonal skills. I worked as an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) for the JET Program from 2021 to 2023, teaching English to elementary and middle school students in the city of Saikai City, Nagasaki Prefecture. I worked at the Embassy of Japan as the JET Program Coordinator, overseeing JET Program USA and assisting in increasing the diversity of applicants and community engagement of JET Alumni in the DMV area. My current role as the Education Coordinator at the Embassy expands upon developing people-to-people exchange initiatives alongside the Education Counsellor and oversee the MEXT Scholarship, a Japanese Government-sponsored scholarship that allows for individuals to study in Japan I am always enthusiastic to learn new skills to help improve the workflow of my working environment and seek ways in which I can help promote education to a diverse audience.
