I am a geological engineer with experience in geohazards, pipelines, mining, transportation, communities, and project management. My primary focus since starting at BGC in 2017 has been related to geohazard risk assessment. This work has included hydrotechnical and geotechnical site inspections, geotechnical drilling investigations, mitigation design and construction monitoring, and landslide susceptibility mapping. I have worked on projects in a variety of terrain including British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Nunavut, Kentucky, and Ecuador. I obtained my master's degree in Geotechnics and Geohazards in 2022, focusing on geohazard risk assessment strategies and policy. During this time, I worked with the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute using remote sensing for steep rock slope analysis along national transportation corridors in Norway. Prior to joining BGC, I have experience as an underground mining engineer intern for Mosaic Potash Colonsay and as a junior fellow working for the non-profit Engineers Without Borders.
