Implemented process improvements including a tiered costing structure with private label vendors to improve gross margin and lower overall product cost, saving an estimated $100K annually. Maintained existing vendor relationships and on-boarded new vendor partners. Communicated daily with international mills and agents working through artwork development, print technique, color standards, product specifications, sample tracking, bulk shipment requirements, costing, and timeline status. Color and quality assurance through strike off review, modified tech pack creation, PPS/TOP sample checks, cut/pack guidelines, fabric testing specifications, and monitoring post purchase customer feedback. Upheld NBCU vendor compliance requirements, sourcing only from suppliers who complied with local laws and applicable NBCU standards in sensitive areas such as labor, environment, health, and safety. Managed private label needs outside of fabric development including sourcing and developing private label thread collections, promotional products, and quilting tools/notions.

Product development for Urban women’s largest business; dresses and skirts. Bring products from initial concept to final delivery for multiple seasons simultaneously. Partner with design and merchandising teams to successfully develop each season and fill the line plan on a monthly calendar, including collection styles, late adds, and chase styles. Manage allocation of all styles ensuring high level vendor projection goals are met. Communicate daily with vendors domestically and overseas ensuring smooth and timely development of each style. Engineer and negotiate costs for buys ranging from 150 units to 25,000 units to achieve marginal goals. Problem solve when necessary to meet goals without sacrificing quality or delivery of the product. Continually growing current partnerships with mills and factories as well as on boarding new partners to grow business, and ensure we are receiving the highest quality products at the most competitive costs.

Worked on Urban Women’s soft woven categories managing all pre-developments, prints, and fabric sourcing. Worked directly with the design team to source fabrics and trims for upcoming seasons based on trend concepts. Managed fabric library securing sample yardage, ordering fabrics in house, and keeping all fabric records organized. Resourced/redeveloped fabrics when design selection fell outside of affordable price range or was bought from local market. Ensured quality development advising proper execution and problem solving with the vendor when needed. Managed development deadlines, tracking of developments in house, securing cost of each development, and advising approvals.

Analyzed and placed replenishment orders for 10+ domestic vendors in the women’s athletic footwear department. Worked with 200+ SKUs in over 465 stores in the US and Puerto Rico. Validated orders based on open to buy and managed in-stock levels for all store formats and e-commerce. Drove sales through strategic placement of goods in stores through JDA Allocation Systems and maintained warehouse quantities based on sales history and demand.

Responsible for communicating with vendors around the world in tracking submits and items received. Worked with designers to source fabrics and trims to fit design concepts. Calculated target costs, estimated retail prices and markups. Attended sketch reviews, garment set ups, fittings, finalization of samples, and final product reviews.
