Kenneth Armstrong is currently a freshman studying aerospace engineering at Arizona State University (ASU). He is also part of Barrett, The Honors College at ASU. Throughout high school, Kenneth has always been interested in pursuing a career in STEM, sparked by his involvement with numerous engineering projects (City of Peoria, ASU EPICS, MAKERS of Change, Luminosity Lab) at the MET Professional Academy. As a National Commended Scholar, he has also been involved in various advanced academic courses in high school (IB & AP). Kenneth has been recognized on the national level by National Geographic and FBLA for his work in environmental project design and business word processing, respectively.Kenneth is involved in numerous activities outside of engineering. He has been doing Taekwondo for nearly 15 years, practicing and teaching at Tiger-Rock Martial Arts regularly. He also enjoys anything regarding filmmaking, having created numerous videos featured by his high school and also worked at AMC Theatres for over a year. Kenneth also holds a love for giving back to his local community, shown through his prior involvement as his high school’s NHS chapter president and chair of community service as a MET student ambassador.
