Project - Disaster Recovery Orchestrator (DRO) for HP 3PAR StoreServ ArrayDRO is a “System Service” primarily responsible to simplify the disaster recovery operations. It simplifies the disaster recovery (DR) by orchestrating the storage failover operations in the multiple datacenter configurations with Remote Copy feature. It hides all the complexities by dynamically building the DR workflow and executing the sequence of DR operations for different disaster scenarios. It exposes the simplified Web Services and Command Line Interfaces (CLI) for the DR management applications and storage administrators to consume.Responsibilities• Investigation of remote copy feature required for designing DRO• Introduced fault injection to simulate hardware errors which cannot be reproduced easilyAdded stubs for 3PAR remote copy calls for better test coverage and efficiency• Unit test cases automation using TPDUnit framework• Added web service API support for Microsoft failover cluster extension for 3PAR

Project – Storage Replication Adapter (SRA) for HP 3PAR arraysSite Replication Adapter is a plug-in to VMWare Site Recovery Manager to enable seamless Business continuity solution. SRA interacts with the storage controller on behalf of Site Recovery Manager to discover Storage arrays and their associated datastores and RDM devices, which are connected to vSphere. The adapter manages failover and test-failover of the virtual machines associated with these storage objects. This enhances workflows for recovery by eliminating complex manual recovery steps and centralizing management of recovery plansResponsibilities• Design on stretched storage support using peer persistence replication software.• Developed an optimized solution for reducing interactions to array by combining multiple volumes to Virtual Volume set and exporting it to a host set in a single operation.• Design and development of Synchronous Long Distance configuration support in SRA for replication between three storage systems • Interaction with proprietary HP 3Par Remote copy replication software• Improved the overall performance of the adapter by 2 folds allowing concurrent remote copy groups• Implement NUnit test framework to effectively test all the units of the code written and shift left the defects into the development stage

Project – HP Storage adapter for SAP Landscape Virtualization Manager Landscape virtualization management provides a central point of control for flexibly assigning computing resources and managing SAP application services in the system landscape. HP Storage Adapter for SAP LVM is a middleware that is being developed to integrate different HP Storage arrays with SAP’s LVM. The adapter provides a management console for all the landscapes that are configured in LVM, automates movement of SAP landscapes from one physical hardware to the other keeping the software running on top of it as is.Responsibilities• Designed and Developed SAPACOSPrep library for HP 3PAR and HP XP arrays which allow managing virtual hostnames and data storage for Linux and Windows • Developed build scripts for different component of the plug-in – Java adapter, Common Array Access Layer, SAPACOS library and scheduling using cruise control.• Developed installer of the plug-in and library by using InstallAnywhere

Project – Storage Provisioning Manager SPM provides a common interface to satisfy the need to service higher level storage operations independently from the storage resources and also abstracts storage device uniqueness while insulating requesters from device evolution. SPM collects the storage service which is typically a commitment of storage resources specified by the storage admin using a UI portal, contacts the provisioning interface to provision storage.Responsibilities• Developed policy based provisioning and storage candidate selection for provisioning storage for servers• Developed ISCSI support for Storage Provisioning Manager and communicated with HP StoreVirtual• Designed and implemented unit testing framework

The HP Storage PowerShell Toolkit for P2000 disk arrays provides automated storage configuration and provisioning capabilities. This toolkit is used to automate the task of identifying free space and presenting it directly to a VM (for example, when configuring a SQL guest cluster). The toolkit is also used to gather information about storage consumption and other storage configuration information for the appliance.Responsibilities• Developed of windows poweshell cmdlets (using C#) to enable provisioning operations like create, delete, grow, map and unmap for HP P2000 MSA storage systems• Developed unit test automation scripts.
