Project Engineer
Current• Working as lead for all design and engineering activities from concept to SOP.• Handled Commodities: Aluminium Stamping / Extrusions, Plastic / Rubber parts, Sheet Metal, FRP and Machined components.• Handled Systems: Battery Thermal Management System, Brazed Heat Exchangers, Fan System and Heat Pump.• Closely working with Customers and Site Coordinators.• Benchmarking on competitor vehicles of different OEMs.• Delivering with Engineering DFM, DFMEA, DVP&R, DFA, BOM Management, Ergonomics, Safety, Homologation, PPAP, Quality Std. etc.• Knowledge of CAD tools such as Catia, Creo and Siemens NX.• Working knowledge of CFD and Thermal Analysis.• Knowledge of PLM tools such as Enovia and Teamcenter. • Providing Component / Assembly Engineering drawings in line with Valeo & OEM standards (including GD&T).• Addition of Technical Features and Special Characteristics (SPPC) with GD&T on desired locations for assembly based on the Stack-up Analysis.• Communicate with the site/customers to change the design of parts due to Sink marks, Weakness of parts, Poor fitment, Clash with the environment, Mechanism failure etc.• Creation of technical and other documents for RFQ.• Creation of best practice knowledge sharing document and lesson learned implementation from previous projects wherever applicable.• Issue tracking and following up to close the open points with Suppliers and Cross-functional teams to meet the target date.• Coordinating with suppliers for tooling feasibility.• Analyzing Vehicle Teardown, Benchmarking, Best Practice and VA/VE activities.• Initiating VA/VE to save costs with the help of Design improvements, process change and Material change without affecting its quality.• Understanding the Project scope, plan, and critical factors to complete the project on time.
