After completing a Bachelor's in Creative Writing in the US, I spent time doing freelance editorial work before completing the esteemed Literature and Publishing Master's program at The University of Galway. Based on my background and interests, I was selected for the SYP Ireland mentorship program, where I was guided by a seasoned editor and agent and prepared for the industry.I participated in the production of the 30th edition of ROPES, an annual literary journal, and took on roles in commissioning, proofreading, social media management and marketing, design and formatting, distribution, and more. During this time, I also worked on Ethereal Magazine, the arts and culture publication on campus, doing editorial and design work.My course included specific work on Adobe programs, copyediting and proofreading, and literary analysis. My dissertation explored the development of the internal monologue in Irish fiction from the modern to the postmodern era.I now work at The O'Brien Press, one of Ireland's leading independent publishers, where I complete administrative, editorial, and production tasks. Additionally, I perform freelance editorial work for Super Summary, which hones my editing skills while providing broader knowledge of contemporary literature.
