Oasis Center provides a wide range of opportunities that reflect the diverse needs of youth and their families across Middle Tennessee, including crisis intervention, youth leadership and community engagement, and college and career access. Our 20+ programs and services are based on the foundation of four areas of youth success: Safety, Belonging, Empowerment, and Generosity.Responsibilities include:• Researching and writing grant proposals and reports;• Collaborating with Director of Grants on fundraising strategy and grants calendar;• Maintaining social media channels, including creating content and scheduling posts;• Planning, writing, designing, and producing Oasis Center’s Annual Report, along with the Director of Development Operations; and• Identifying and writing articles and stories for internal and external communications.

Responsibilities included: responding to written correspondence to the Speaker from constituents, connecting them with various resources and working with Council leadership to ensure that the Speaker’s positions were accurately conveyed; writing articles and editing the Speaker’s monthly newsletter; creating training materials and providing training to new staff and interns; supervising a staff of eight legislative assistants.

Responsibilities included: researching and writing policy papers and one-pagers; meeting with elected officials to advocate for funding for the organization’s priorities; facilitating trainings for youth to meet with elected officials; facilitating trainings for older adults in community engagement activities; writing grant proposals and reports; compiling and writing the monthly newsletter; and assisting with event planning.

Responsibilities included: working with parents involved in the family court system by accompanying them to court appearances and supervised visitation appointments; coordinating with staff attorneys to ensure that client parents complied with court-mandated services; connecting client parents with necessary resources, including housing, benefits, counseling services, educational resources, and parenting classes.
