As the North American activism lead for The Body Shop, a global B Corporation, I was responsible for bringing the company's social and environmental mission to life for customers and employees across the US and Canada markets. I coordinated with global HQ and NA to ensure global, national and localized impact work is cohesive, forward-thinking and resonant with our collective. - Developed market-level environmental sustainability and social justice strategy, including a full audit of the brand's presence, market opportunity scan and multi-year cross-functional program strategy aligned across business units and supply chain;- Led internal and external impact communications to build buy-in, including monthly internal videos for staff briefings, social media content for a following of an audience of 2M+; - Achieved 20,000 signatures in a petition campaign for 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion in the US and Canada;- Built partnerships with community stakeholders and non-profits, ranging from multi-national to grassroots organizations (Planned Parenthood, The Slow Factory, Apathy is Boring and others).

I led the B Corp movement across the whole of Canada, working to grow and strengthen the network of B Corp-certified companies, which are for-profit companies like Ben & Jerry’s, Patagonia, and Danone, using business as a force for good.· Drove 45% cumulative growth in total number of affiliated businesses for the B Corp network in Canada through effective partnership and event strategies. Optimized the sales cycle to increase the conversion rate from prospect to network member, adjusted across industry, growth-stage and size.· Managed programming across the US and Canada in a strategy-level role, spearheading growth, engagement, communications, and policy advocacy, while brokering long-term national and issue-specific community partnerships to build a strong ecosystem.· Instrumental in developing strategic touchpoints to consistently engage community influencers and senior leaders, including facilitation of founder and c-suite-level leadership programming.· Coordinated and managed the lobbying effort for a successful, history-making Private Members Bill in B.C., winning unanimous support for legislation at the provincial level (Bill M209, enacted 06/2020).· Led the justice, equity, diversity and inclusion work in Canada including: convening a Business Advisory taskforce of Black, Indigenous and People of Colour in partnership with BMW Foundation; and co-founding the inaugural global Employee Resource Group on Race and Intersectionality.

Public Inc. is a full-service social impact agency supporting corporate clients to become better citizens through research, strategy, branding, marketing, advertising, design, PR, social media, and partnerships support.Led full process, ideation through delivery, of print and digital campaigns for clients, ranging from startups to multinationals, within a cross-functional team. Managed project lifecycle to develop strategy, communications and marketing initiatives delivered on time and on budget.· Drove social and environmental impact strategy for corporate clients like Unilever and Under Armor, helping attract and retain key new audiences.· Developed public and private partnerships to drive impact outcomes, including a series of anti-Black racism and anti-Islamophobia campaigns that went viral with 30+ media pieces, 30 million+ impressions and front-page coverage in regional media.· Executed full-cycle project management, from traditional out of home to digital campaigns, brand positioning and visual identity, communications collateral, web design and experiential activations. Clients managed included: Under Armour, Unilever, ROM, Toronto Zoo, Meridian Credit Union, Aga Khan Foundation Canada, Guckenheimer, Oceana, OCASI, City of Toronto, LiFT Philanthropy Partners, Imagine Canada and others.

Working with failed asylum seekers to coordinate micro-financing for beneficiaries leaving Canada. The project's aim was to allow a dignified return and to promote sustainable return to country of origin. Led collaborative projects on anti-human trafficking and human smuggling across South East Asia. Progressed to direct-beneficiary support and program management for a pilot project aiming to support failed asylum seekers in Toronto, Canada.· Launched and supported the implementation of a micro-financing program for failed refugees, improving the prospects of hundreds of migrants each year.· Led UN Migration Hanoi's anti-trafficking outreach campaign, developing engagement strategy in conjunction with MTV to reach and engage 10,000 at-risk youth.· Piloted mapping exercise that brought together UN agencies, government ministries, and NGOs to strategize anti-human trafficking efforts across Vietnam.

Hanoi, Vietnam

With a focus on anti-human trafficking, anti-human smuggling and anti-gender based violence work, I supported all aspects of project development and implementation including research and field work. Experience working with high-level donors and in conjunction with other United Nations agencies, NGOs and Government Ministries. - Lead IOM Hanoi's anti-trafficking outreach campaign, developing engagement strategy in conjunction with MTV to reach and engage 10,000 at-risk youth;- Piloted mapping exercise bringing together UN agencies, government ministries, and NGOs to strategize anti-human trafficking efforts across Vietnam;- Lead team-building training for 20 participants focused on developing intra-staff communication skills; participated in three-day Project Development and Implementation training (UN standard).

Ukraine

OSCE in Ukraine supports reform, helping the country meet crisis-related challenges towards a stable and democratic future. Issue areas include legal and criminal justice reform, human rights, electoral and media freedoms. Supported several teams across the OSCE, primarily working on media transparency, electoral fairness, anti-gender-based violence, anti-hate crime and anti-human trafficking projects.· Supported project development, monitoring and evaluation across media, civil society, gender equity and election projects.· Facilitated anti-hate crime initiative between minority group leaders and police authorities to mitigate community-police relations.· Supported a train-the-trainer model for electoral districts across central Ukraine during politically unstable period in Ukraine and snap elections, to contribute to free and fair elections.
