Goonj (formally known as PocketTV), was the product I worked on, that was an end to end solution for media streaming. We are providing TV streaming service to different telecom operators in PK and UAE. The major roles and responsibilities I played are listed below:● Managed the development team.● Code reviews to ensure the code quality.● Responsible for overseeing the company’s software systems to serve the streaming solution swiftly and at a large scale.● Converted APIs to RESTful services for achieving a microservices architecture that is easy to be scaled.● Participated in Android app development.● Participated in web portal development and video management system (VMS) development● Successfully scaled the solution from 1500 users to 18K concurrent streamers just by changing the software layer and without any change at the infrastructure layer.Technologies Used:Node.js, Express, Express-Cassandra ORMCassandra NoSQL databaseFFMpeg, Wowza Streaming engineJava for Android development

● Lead the CI/CD infra availability team.● Developed pipelines, based on openstack distributions along with PLUMgrid as an SDN controller for continuous testing.● Responsible for infrastructure availability for automated testing of complex SDN features.● Enable DevOps by moving code from Dev/ Test to Staging and Production. Troubleshoot issues along the CI/CD pipeline.

● Major contribution in Federation Manager (FM) development.● Parted a role in technology selection, prototyping and designing of the project from start.● Participated in design and development of the REST gateway for this application.● Researched and integrated the REST APIs documentation and testing tool (swagger).● Automated the workflow for ECMP VNF testing through multi zone RDO based Openstackdeployment.● Automated the multi zone infra availability for continuous testing of FM features.● Implemented a major part of the FM web UI using Angularjs.

● Acted as OpenStack developer for extension and plugin implementation.● Lead and trained a team around DevOps lines.● Worked on Cisco OnePK for openstack integration. Also worked on different deploymenttools, mainly Canonical JUJU and puppet.● Hands on experience with LXC containers and docker. Worked on Openstack heat forautomated deployment of virtual environments.● R&D on SDN, NFV, VNI and products around these technologies.

● Acted as principal developer for the development of Cloud Management System(CMS) to beused in house.● Parted a role in database designing, implemented interfacing app between dinManage andVMware VSphere.● Developed the scheduler for dinManage that schedules the CMS tasks.● Parted a role in Vyatta firewall integration and automated provisioning for CMS.● Being the part of the team implemented RESTful APIs for dinManage.● Architected dinCenter to replace VMware VCenter with in house developed solution.● Being the domain expert, parted a role in tools & technologies selection for dinCenter.● Research and development on HA solution for dinCenter and successfully implemented it.● Implemented hostAgent for health monitoring and metering service.● Parted a role in vmAgent that used for virtual machine configurations.● Served the lead role as well for most of the project mentioned above.

● Developed a web application that helps fulfill needs in the Special Education Program.● Key application features include user-based access roles, student class transition, reportspanel (view, generate, download or save new report), goals panel (set new goals, reviewgoals, edit goals, goal bank etc.), admin tools panel (manage employees, students, teachers,districts, schools, transitions, user rights, preference, etc.)● Technologies used during development included Python, Django, MySQL, JQuery, Ajax, Pisa,ReportLab, Taconite, Ubuntu, Aptana Studio, Dreamweaver, and VMPlayer for Linuxenvironment.

● Extended the VSControl software to incorporate OpenVZ management.● Implemented the master panel for VSControl that facilitates the management of bothhypervisors through one window.● Extended the master panel for datacenter wise VMs management, billing management,license validation etc.● Tools & Technologies used for the development included Python, Django, PHP, MySQL,JavaScript, JQuery, CentOS, Ubuntu, DW and Aptana Studio.

● Hands on with Xen hypervisor using its command line utilities.● Configuration of Xen kernel for advance hardware support before installation.● Implemented a GUI based control management system for Xen named as VSControl.● Extended the VSControl for automated backup/restore management of virtual environments.● Tools & technologies used included Python, Cheetah, MySQL, JavaScript, DW, Centos4 andXen2.9.
