Working as consultant & lead developer for PDA Quran Project for the Research Institute of King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals. This software is being specially designed for Windows Mobile PDAs in native C++ API and is in accordance with Mushaf-al-Madinah being printed by King Fahd Complex for Printing of Holy Quran (Madinah)

Developed a multi-lingual web-based library system with AJAX based acquisition module for acquiring ISBN data directly using Amazon's SOAP service. The application currently supports entering information in English, Urdu, Arabic & Sindhi languages. It is currently being used in PILER (Pakistan Institute of Labour Education & Research).This project was developed in PHP/MySQL using an MVC (Model-View-Controller) framework - CakePHP.

Ligature Based Urdu Nastaliq for Broadcasting companies - Design & developed an extension of PDMS Jauhar font to be used in different broadcasting solutions from VIZRT. Currently being used at GEO TV, AAJ TV, CNBC Pakistan, Media Television Networks, IMC (Independent Media Corporation).PDMS Jauhar - Design & developed a professional quality ligature based Urdu font solution for OpenType compatible software, e.g. Microsoft Office. Comprehensive research was done in determining optimal frequency pattern of Urdu words. In-house font tools were developed to incorporate complex ligature / character rules in OpenType font. OpenType Quranic Font - Design & developed OpenType 1.4 rules for Quranic Font which supports all diacritical marks using Unicode 4.0 specs.

ARS (Alien Registration System) was developed for a govt agency NARA (National Alien Registration Authority). NARA's main objective was to verify & register the aliens (individuals with illegal status in Pakistan). Facial and finger biometerics SDKs were also used to check false registrations. Several high-end technologies were used to cater the needs of our client including PHP 5, self-made OOP framework for PHP, MySQL 5, VB.net client with SOAP interface, CrystalReports. A server side component was specially written in native Linux C to efficiently process biometrics requests from the client software.

Managed & developed MobilMuslim series of software applications designed for Pocket PC / Palm based mobile handheld devices. This series include MobilMuslim Quran, MubilMuslim Hadith, Moazzin, Quran Tutor, Language Assistant and many otther software titles.

Managed the development of Form Tracking System (FTS) for NADRA for tracking of different stages of CNIC application. This information was used by CRM of NADRA to quickly retrieve the current status of CNIC application.

Design & developed Data Entry, Updation and Voter List Printing Software for Ministry of Interior, Paksitan.Developed complete data entry and updation software for preparation of computerized Electoral Rolls. To achieve 99.9% accuracy, a highly complex algorithm for dual data entry and automatic match/mismatch for corrections was devised. This software was used to enter 63.8 million records for all adult population of Pakistan by more than 2000 data entry operators in record time frame. Voter list were printed on high-end production printers (180 pages per minute) to print 250,000 pages per day of 105,000 voter list for all districts/city/halqa regions.

Urdu Mahir – Developed in Visual C++ for Microsoft Windows 2000+ and MS Office. High quality OTF Nastaleeq font was developed using OpenType Specs 1.4. Urdu Mahir provides calligraphic quality Urdu Nastaleeq script font for use with every feature of Microsoft Office. Urdu Mahir also has a true multi-lingual support. Urdu Mahir is also fully Unicode complaint. With Urdu Mahir, world’s latest cutting-edge technologies can be used with Urdu language and that too with Nastaleeq script font. Urdu Mahir Received Over All Best Prize in 12th All Pakistan Software Competition & Exhibition. It also received NCR IT Excellence Award 2001 being the best work in software development during 2000-2001.

Computerized National ID Cards Data Entry Software was developed for NADRA (National Database and Registration Authority), Ministry of Interior, Islamabad. Client software was developed in VB 6 & VC++ 6. MS SQL Server 7.0 was used at server side. During 1998 Census 65 Millions National Database Forms (NDFs) were collected. For digitizing this information, PDMS designed and developed a comprehensive multi-lingual system. The system was successfully used to enter 65 Million NDFs by 10,000 operators working 24 hours a day on a country wide network of 2500 workstations and 24 high-end servers. The software was optimized for large production based paper less (heads-up) data entry (daily production of above 400,000 forms per day). Every form goes through 2 quality control layers of checking before going into production. Automatic accuracy records of operator and quality control were also maintained for each form to calculate pay roll with respect to accuracy and speed.

Design & developed Quran Majeed software CD for Microsoft Windows based computers. Complete Arabic Quran Majeed text with 2 Urdu translations and 4 English translations as well as topic index of Quran Majeed is included. The CD contains high quality audio Qirat and audio of Urdu & English translation.Design & developed custom Urdu 98 control with high-quality Nastaleeq fonts for the printing of computerized national ID cards (CNICs).Urdu 98 – Developed an ActiveX control based software for enabling MS Office and other compatible applications to write in complex Urdu nastleeq fonts. One of the major client is NADRA, which is using a specially built version to help in the printing of CNICs of Pakistanis. Received 2nd prize in 10th All Pakistan Software Competition & ExhibitionRuqqa – Urdu Email – Also developed Ruqqa - Urdu Email. This program enables Microsoft Outlook users to send emails in Urdu. Received 2nd prize in 10th All Pakistan Software Competition & Exhibition.

Provided software consultancy services to National Database Organization, Govt. of Pakistan for establishing Citizens database and data warehouse (65 million records for the whole adult pouplation of Pakistan).

Urdu Computer Nizam – While working at PDMS, developed a system level extension for Macintosh OS that enables existing software for Macintosh to be used in Urdu Nastaleeq.Enhancements in Nastaleeq Nizami – Participated in the development of C language code to add a WYSIWYG feature in Nastaleeq Nizami, using QuickDraw features of Macintosh operating system. Received 1st prize in 3rd All Pakistan Software Competition & Exhibition.
