As a a member of Foley & Lardner LLP's Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice, I gained experience in a wide array of litigation matters, including insurance coverage and ERISA disputes, trade secret litigation, and general business litigation. I have also assisted in client counseling and internal investigations related to national security and international affairs issues involving anti-money laundering (AML), arms controls (ITAR), economic sanctions (OFAC), dual-use exports (EAR), and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). I devote my pro bono practice to asylum and LGBT rights work.

As a legal intern at CARECEN (The Central American Resource Center), an Immigration non-profit in Los Angeles, I assisted nearly 100 Spanish-speaking clients in renewing their Temporary Protected Status; prepared clients' applications for Permanent Residence, Provisional Waivers, and Asylum; and prepared and filed a minor client's guardianship petition requesting findings to allow the minor to apply for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status. I also provided general legal support to staff attorneys handling large caseloads.

As a State Analyst on contract to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services' Office of Refugee Resettlement, I oversaw State-administered and Wilson-Fish alternative programs for the provision of resettlement services to recent refugee arrivals in the United States. I also managed the $3.5 million Services to Older Refugees grant and the $4.78 million Preventive Health grant while serving as liaison to the Association of Refugee Health Coordinators (ARHC).

I expanded by 200% the volunteer database for a State Delegate's campaign, and I recruited and trained active volunteers to canvass, organize mailings, and post campaign materials. I coordinated and completed last-minute, time-sensitive projects while maintaining excellent volunteer cohesion and morale. I also assisted the candidate and her senior staff with other organizational tasks as needed.
