• Collected >4mm, 2mm, and 1mm microfaunal samples as part of MA thesis research.• Microfaunal samples were analyzed as part of MA research. Analysis includes data analysis on weathering, burning, digestive etching, fractures, general abrasion damage, body part representation, morphometric measurements, and species identification of bones.

Kaman, Turkey

• Participated in the archaeobotany course taught by Dr. Andrew Fairbairn of the University of Queensland as part of the Environmental Archaeology Residential Field Courses offered by the Japanese Institute.• Floated archaeobotanical samples using three methods: tank flotation, manual flotation and heavy residue processing from the sites of Kaman Kalehöyük and Büklükale. Subsequently sorted heavy and light residue samples and analyzed diagnostic features of wheat and other flora under a microscope.

• Digitized trench profiles and trench surfaces from 2010 and 2011 excavations at SANAP using Adobe Illustrator.• Sorted >2mm and 1-2mm flotation samples from 2010 and 2011 SANAP excavations.

Mariemont, Oh

• Conducted a Phase I archaeological project and generated a proposal to redirect the building of the Eastern Corridor, a four-lane highway, from the Mariemont Lower Gardens and Walking Trails Park to protect the cemetery known as the Madisonville site and its associated settlement.• Communicated with members of the Mariemont community, including Mayor Dan Policastro, and reporters for the Cincinnati Enquirer to generate awareness of the historical and archaeological significance of the area.

• Participated in intensive, mentored research program under supervision of UC graduate student from the Department of Geography at the University of Cincinnati.• Investigated, using Statistical Program for the Social Sciences (SPSS 18.0), correlation between artifact density, artifact variability, and settlement types for different settlement groups from Minanha, Belize. Phase II archaeological research.

Kaibab National Forest, Az

• Surveyed in Upper Basin using GPS. Analyzed anthropogenic phenomena to ascertain accuracy of predictive modeling in identification of archaeological units. Mapped terraces and structures.• Explored nuances of spatial arrangement in locating anthropogenic phenomena. Recorded archaeological data and illustrated lithic projectile points and schematics of structures encountered in the field.

Vastëmi, Albania

• Participated in field school and excavated at Neolithic site of Vastëmi, Albania. Investigated critical transition from hunting and gathering to agriculture in the region. Participated in excavating, floating, screening, washing, documenting, and cataloging artifacts.• Presented lecture on religious plurality to class, Balkan Peoples. Presented experiences in field to class, Introduction to Archaeology, as fulfillment of the UC International grant.
