Human Resources Advisor
Current- Provide human resources consultative advice and expertise in recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and labour relations.- Support managers in resolving employee relations issues, advising on informal solutions, and managing grievances.- Design and implement competitive compensation packages, conducted regular market analyses, and supported payroll and benefits processes.- Lead the development and execution of onboarding programs for all levels of employees, enhancing new hire integration and retention.- Provide HR consultation to management and staff across diverse business units, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with employment laws and regulations.- Develop job descriptions, participated in interviews, and facilitated staffing decisions for full-time, part-time, and student roles.- Lead human resources initiatives such as succession planning, performance management, and recognition programs to foster employee engagement and growth.- Advise on HR policies, collective agreements, and employment-related legislation (e.g., Ontario Human Rights Code, WSIB, ESA).- Support the Health & Safety Committee, conducted inspections, and contributed to meetings.- Assign training programs and manage performance evaluations through HR Downloads, enhancing employee development and organizational effectiveness.- Utilize ADP for recruitment, payroll processing, and reporting, ensuring efficient HR operations and accurate data management.
