My first full-time job out of university was working as a Social Studies teacher at an American school in Guatemala.It was a truly amazing, beautiful experience that helped me confirm that I wanted to work in education.I had the unique experience of teaching grades 6th- 12th, Geography and World Cultures, Modern World Studies, Ancient World History, and Global Economics and Humanities. I founded the weekly Art Club to continue my passions for arts education.Through my commitment to social justice, I fostered a nurturing environment for students from diverse, indigenous, multilingual, and underserved backgrounds.I continue to make small donations to students at this school so that they can continue on the path to a global education.
