As a freelance Desktop Publisher, I have assisted in the layout and design of marketing collateral, including business cards, sell sheets, postcards, and flyers for fiction and nonfiction books. I also completed the layout and design for the memoir "Into the Heat - Fighting Fires in Baltimore City" by former firefighter Ray Lockett.

As the principal photographer for Build Your Wings Photography, I create memorable images of weddings, birthdays, landscapes, still life, and family moments. As a freelance desktop publisher, I worked with documents ranging from a few dozen pages to a few hundred, formatting text, tables, and graphics for publication. Completed various formatting and desktop publishing tasks associated with USAID contracts. Primary assignments involved formatting large documents including many tables and figures, in English and French. Worked with other employees, contractors, and project managers to ensure accuracy and proper formatting. Followed projects from draft stage through printing and completion. Also assisted in creating a company style guide and formatting how-to guide to ensure consistency across projects.

As a freelance writer, I was responsible for three weekly columns: Local Discovery (wherein I discussed various ways to use technology to connect with your local world and the people in it), Digital Photography 101 (wherein I offered in-depth instruction about various photographic methods and techniques), and Photography Tips (which provided a more basic overview of the ins and outs of digital photography). I also wrote frequent one-off articles about a wide range of subjects. Each article required research, writing, editing, and formatting in Tecca’s online Content Management System. My work was syndicated by USA Today, Better Homes & Gardens, Good Morning America, Yahoo!News, LifeHacker, MSNBC, Wall Street Run, Shine, Earthtechling, SOTT, and others.
