Join a team of researchers in the Institute for model-based qualification & certification of additive manufacturing (IMQCAM) for NASA Space Technology Research Institute (STRI). In this role, I will focus on creating computational models of metals, writing code to analyze microstructure, and conducting tests to ensure they meet NASA's standards.

At the beginning of the Apprenticeship I will be working remotely in MATLAB to create computational models of Endothelial signaling pathways. Endothelial cells are known to play a critical role in the development of Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH), where increased resistance to blood on the right side of the heart can eventually lead to heart failure and death. During this research, I will explore the linkage between hemodynamics and genetics in the development of PAH. The computational models will be used to examine links between mechanical stimuli, gene regulation, and protein production or removal. The goal for this project is to use these types of systems biology models to simulate the effects of genetic mutation and hemodynamics on different parts of endothelial cell signaling pathways involved in PAH. Later in the summer I will be working on Carnegie Mellon’s Campus to further investigate the endothelial cell models and signaling pathways.

I started my own LLC in 2021 when my parents couldn't afford my sport. I buy young horses and train them until their value increases to their highest value. I lease the horses out for half of their current value so that within after a year I will start making a profit off of the horses. I engage in financial aspects like building a price point and recording insurance and taxes. In addition, I work on every communication component like speaking to clients or building relationships with other people in the industry.

I work on payroll, answering phones, giving tours, and filing taxes. I also control the social media for the schools. I talk to around 40 people daily, and I have a lot of practice with numbers. I know all of the ins and outs of Quickbooks and Paychex.

As an intern for the Co-Founder of Quittner Antiques, I have been involved in marketing tasks. I helped with data collection and organizing pricing information for an upcoming product launch. Additionally, I conducted research on potential online influencers who share a common interest with the brand, for potential collaborations. I even contributed to drafting an outreach email to these potential partners. Currently, my responsibilities include researching and contributing to the development of launch strategies for the brand's upcoming product line.
