The Girl Scout Gold Award Alliance was proposed at the October 1993 National Council Session of Girl Scouts. Delegates to the convention created this proposal that GSUSA establish the Girl Scout Award Alliance for those who have received the highest award available to them in Girl Scouting. This includes individuals who have earned the Golden Eaglet, First Class, Curved Bar, and the Girl Scout Gold Award. The Alliance will help support girls currently working toward this award and will ultimately enhance the overall recognition of the Girl Scout Gold Award.
