I led a team working on the organisation's flagship website, built on Umbraco CMS and managed in-house. I oversaw: - a substantial increase in organic traffic- the proof of concept and full-scale introduction of the PDSA Pet Health Hub, an online resource of pet health content- digitisation of customer processes during the Covid-19 pandemic- agile improvement of UX and CX of the site through a digital transformation project- the team's move to homeworking and increased digital workload during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Working within a small, busy, high-performing Digital Team to support the Website Manager in the day-to-day running of the charity's website. This includes sourcing and writing fresh content, as well as monitoring content performance to undertake data-led UX improvements. Working within the Student Recruitment department to create supporting content for recruitment activities and ensure brand compliance across the University. As Marketing Assistant, I supported core content projects including the annual prospectus. I undertook competitor research and face-to-face market research, provided support on photoshoots across the University's Colleges, undertook copy-writing and copy-editing, supported creative development alongside an external agency, and managed distribution to Colleges and international recruitment agencies. During my time at UAL, I project managed the print production of the graduation materials. This included an Awards Ceremony programme; a presentation suite for high-profile Honorary Graduates such as Tom Hardy, Ralph Fiennes and Gillian Wearing; and award certificates for specialist student prizes. I managed a freelance Graphic Designer and worked closely with an external design agency and printers. Other responsibilities included:• Using Adobe Creative Suite to create and edit content to support the Marketing and Student Recruitment Department’s activities.• Creating content for third party referral websites. • Managing a digital brand portal and the asset bank of images and videos to streamline staff access to brand assets. • Providing advice to internal stakeholders on social media best practice.• Set up, collating and delivering a monthly enewsletter for international recruitment agents to keep them in touch with the university and provide them with high-quality marketing content.

The main focus of the role was driving Social Media engagement across the Unions' core platforms. I was tasked with increasing Social Media engagement by 100% within 12 months. By implementing a user-driven content calendar and closely monitoring platforms, I was able to increase engagement by 360% in just 3 months. I also introduced an organisational Instagram account, as a key platform for the Unions' target audience. As part of my development of a Social Media content plan, I curated sharable content from other publishers as well as working with the in-house design team to create original rich content. I provided live Social Media support for events, including live tweeting duties and creating content using Instavideo and Instagram. I was also responsible for updating and developing web content and copy-writing and sourcing content for regular marketing emails. I was required to feed into integrated marketing plans and deliver against set KPIs.

As Marketing and Membership intern I was responsible for assisting with the implementation of the overall marketing plan, including building digital newsletters and writing copy for online marketing campaigns. I worked with acevo's digital strategy, spanning newsletters and social media, to help build online communities. I supported the implementation of a soft re-brand.

Supporting with marketing activities during the busy Christmas period, including writing briefs on upcoming titles for industry newsletters.

Providing administrative support to a leading literary agent, and reading and responding to unsolicited manuscripts. I also provided support as a full manuscript reader.
