Returning to Payments in December 2024 as a Payments Risk Manager, I am responsible for all First Line risk relating to Payments across the bank. This includes compliance with regulatory and industry requirements, assurance activity and managing the risk profile for the function.Joining our Procurement team in Feb 2022, I am responsible for third party risk and reporting, ensuring our suppliers are managed in line with internal risk management frameworks, regulatory obligations and compliance to SS2/21. Prior to this, I have spent 20 years in a Payments environment (and a previous 2 years dealing with complex queries), and am fully competent in managing scheme and supplier relationships (including SYSC8), ensuring compliance to scheme and regulatory compliance, dealing with payment incidents and PSD2 major incident reporting, carrying out risk assessments on payment policies and regulatory requirements and implementing effective controls to mitigate any risks identified, bringing Virgin Money back into being direct participants of the CHAPS and Faster Payments schemes, and working on various projects to implement new systems for both our Payment and Fraud/AML teams.
