F&B ManagerYorebridge House Hotel Dec 2011 - Dec 2015My role at Yorebridge House started out as a member of the restaurant and bar staff. I developed the hotel’s first cocktail menu alongside the restaurant supervisor and in addition took over the role of shift duty manager when she left. In September 2010 I was promoted to Events Co-ordinator. Key responsibility in that role is as main contact person for the Bride & Groom from their initial meeting until their wedding day. Weddings take a lot of planning and communication as each couples’ requirements are completely different and all details need to be meticulously kept to ensure each day runs smoothly. Being able to ‘get on’ with all types of brides and grooms [who are all under pressure at this time in their lives] is a particular skill that I feel I excel at and have proven as I am now trusted to run wedding days all by myself; without the presence of the general manager or proprietor. I also help to market and manage events other than weddings, which recently have included two Champagne evenings and a successful New Years Eve event. In addition, other staff feel able to come to me if they have any problems and I am able to discuss their problems with them and sort out their work ‘problems’ and questions and rearrange rotas where practicable. With in excess of 30 weddings a year and growing, I have I feel become a valued member of the team as I am trusted to both manage and run weddings, the restaurant service and be duty manager in addition to running the Restaurant and Bar on other working days. In short, I am as flexible as possible to the fluctuating demands of the business in order to ensure maximum efficiency and profitability for the business. In November I was promoted to Food & Beverage Manager which includes control of the bar stock; placing orders with suppliers for the bar and restaurant and full responsibility for cash control and locking up, whilst still looking after the hotels weddings and bride and grooms. -

Marketing AssistantWensleydale Dairy Products Ltd Jun 2008 - May 2010My marketing role at the company included, liaising with designers and printers to create and then approve the final packaging and design of literature, graphics, labels and adverts with necessary filing and logging of data. I orchestrated the new design of the company’s website and in sole charge of keeping the main site up to date. Due to my ability to use graphic design software I often took photographs and used this software to manipulate the photographs and other imagery, I also used it to create literature, point of sale leaflets and promotional activity leaflets. I was the first point of contact for the marketing department and had to deal with, and react to; customer, consumer and PR requests for images, information and samples. I also provided briefs to the PR Company on our activities, organised photographs for the press releases, and created agendas for meetings which reviewed both past and up and coming events. Whilst my Manager went on maternity leave, I dealt with all calls and e-mails in her absence and took on some of her duties, as no one was brought in to do that part of her role. I assisted our New Product Development [NPD] Manager with specific NPD projects through the business from concept to launch. This included liaising with suppliers to co-ordinate concept/mock up samples and artwork and helped create a suitable procedure for the NPD ideas from initial thought to final sign off and product release. I created the company’s first CVI (Corporate Visual Identity) and assisted with the implementation of the marketing plan and re created the budget spreadsheet. I organised and planned for all events / exhibitions (trade & consumer) – including the booking of space, refrigeration, refrigerated transport, accommodation and travel as well as organisation of stock, product, samples for events and the overall look of the stand design and ensuring that everything was there in place and on time. This included export shows as well as home. -
Receptionist & SalesMht Technology Ltd. Jan 2006 - Jun 2008Receptionist. Work included administration, Sales, Marketing and Company appointed first aider. Main tasks included: being first point of contact for the Company; liaising with customers and directing incoming calls; creating sales quotes for customers which include creating drawings to fit in with given ‘site architecture’ plans and Customer bespoke requirements. Oversee all received orders from input to completion, including compiling job sheets for the Software & Development and Production teams. Keep all paper & electronic filing up to date. Create a quarterly newsletter for both internal and customers’ information. Create all marketing literature including press releases for exhibitions, designing and creating datasheets for all products, which includes taking photos and editing them using graphics packages ‘Corel Draw’ and ‘Adobe Photo Shop’. In 2008 I created a marketing plan [reviewed monthly] and produced a Company swot analysis of the company to help deliver performance objectives. I created adverts for publications and journals and press releases for new products; authored and updated MHT’s website and created the Web Site brief for the re-design of the site. I travelled to meet customers for sales meetings and to deliver training to customers on MHT’s site management software. Post meeting notes/minutes were also taken. I planned all exhibitions including travel; stands; freight; equipment and also attended exhibitions both nationally and internationally. I arranged all training packs, hotel accommodation and corporate entertainment for all training sessions for customers held at the company premises.
