Ashburton

Currently I am a part time Nutrient Budgeting Assistant in the Nutrient Management Team based at Seales Winslow, Ashburton.My role involves inputting Nutrient Budgets into Overseer from all over New Zealand. We (a team of 4) handle projects from Dairy NZ, Synlait and Fonterra as well individual farmers wanting Baselines for their farms.This role came about after hearing of the need for experienced users of Overseer.I am still heavily involved with our farming operation (Onyx Enterprises Ltd) but this role gives me a chance to keep up with the skills I learnt from my previous positions in the fertiliser Industry.

Ashburton

Along with my husband Richie, I am a part owner in Onyx Enterprises Ltd, which is a 750 cow dairy farm based 10 minutes out of Ashburton. We (Richie and myself) also Contract Milk this enterprise.I am heavily involved with the Office, HR and Accounting side of this business as well as the calf rearing and the odd bit of relief milking when required.

I started with Ravensdown in the Customer Centre in 2000. I was then seconded to the IT department where I helped with an IT upgrade.After this I moved out into the Field and was Field Officer for South Canterbury. I stayed in this area for over 2 years before relocating to Canterbury area where I spent my remaining years.I left this role to go Dairy Farming in Ashburton where we still are.We have two children (3 and 4 yrs) who are now reaching school age (2014-2015).

Taranaki, Wanganui & Manawatu, New Zealand

I was based in Taranaki for this role of Field Officer, after I left Massey University. I was here for 2 years before venturing overseas.
