As part of the requirements of the Master of Applied Science program, I worked in the Food Science team at the Ministry for Primary Industries for 6 months where I was supporting work at the Food Regulation Standing Committee (FRSC) priority area on public health objectives to reduce chronic disease related to overweight and obesity. The main focus of this work was to test the use and ability of a branded food database to inform work looking at options to improve the composition of the food supply and monitoring of the Health Star Rating system

My time working for Emirates One & Only Wolgan Valley began as a working holiday, taking the opportunity to travel abroad and work in a world class resort where my role included offering first class hospitality and guided horse treks. Along with this, I played a large role in the upkeep and well-being of the horses as well as being involved in some of the resorts conservation attempts. One and Only Wolgan Valley pride themselves upon their impeccable customer service with their 'We Create Joy' slogan and ensuring our interactions with customers meet leading quality assurance standards.Throughout my time at Emirates One & Only, I was taught great lessons of teamwork and resilience. Being impacted by the Gosper's Mountain fire in December 2019, my involvement in the team of employees at Wolgan Valley throughout this time is something I am very proud of.
