I lead the Civil & Structural team within Lumen - a multi disciplinary engineering consulting firm specialising in engineering for a better, more sustainable future. Within the Civil & Structural Unit, we have architectural, structural, fire, and civil designers all together under the one roof. This gives us seamless coordination, and the ability to come up with cost effective solutions to solve every building challenge. Working mainly with developers and architects, our team can help with designing new buildings, from residential homes to industrial sheds, high rise buildings and substations. We also provide structural and strengthening services for existing buildings, and other engineering services including fire and civil design. I have over 16 years professional experience in structural engineering, and have been leading the Civil & Structural Team at Lumen for the past 3 years. As a working mother I am passionate about balancing work and my hectic home life keeping up with my 3 boys. This has honed my project management and communication skills immensely!Lumen has been around in one guise or another since the mid-1990s. We've recently rebranded as Lumen to help our clients understand that we're one team with one focus - engineering for a better future.
