Oversee experiential production for real + virtual worlds covering IRL and virtual events, custom mailers, unexpected partnerships, website builds and more!

I built the Events department from the ground up, including best practices and pricing. I developed, updated, and reconciled the department budget, as well as hired and managed a team of three US-based Event Managers and Senior Managers. The Events team coverage grew from one person for NY and DC to a four person team, covering global events including US, UK, Canada, Australia, Brazil and Mexico. I executed and managed events ranging from small scale VIP experiences to presentations and cocktails parties for 800+ guests including presence at CES, Sundance Film Festival, SXSW, NewFronts, UK Digital Upfronts, Cannes Lions, San Diego Comic-Con, White House Correspondents' Association Dinner, as well as BuzzFeed proprietary events (ex. BuzzFeed Brews, Food Goals, Throwback Theater, Tasty Date Night and office holiday parties). I collaborated with executives across multiple departments to create an events roadmap that supported BuzzFeed Editorial, BuzzFeed News, BuzzFeed Entertainment Group, BuzzFeed Tech, BuzzFeed Business, Marketing and Communications on their tentpoles. I also ideated for and oversaw the RFP pitch process for brands to partner on sponsorable events, and collaborated with clients and agencies to execute on deals closed.

I collaborated with internal sales teams to create custom proposals for consumer and industry facing offline events. I was responsible for all aspects of pre-event planning including budget management, venue selection, concept design, production schedules, vendor management, contract negotiations, and building brand awareness and audience loyalty for IGN Entertainment and their partners. I was the point person for internal employees and external sponsor partners to ensure a cohesive view o brand objective delivery in an efficient and effective manner. I was also the lead person for onsite event execution from set up to dismantle, and provided post-event reports, which included improvements and best practices for all parties involved.

I partnered with multiple national sales teams to brainstorm, develop, and present successful sales pitches. I managed $1MM+ campaigns for top tier advertisers with world-class media agencies to ensure highest possible revenue earned. I also performed daily sales housekeeping tasks including inventory reservations, insertion order booking, optimizations, and makegood coordination. The goal was to maintain quality relationships with existing clients and agencies, as well as build trust and loyalty with new accounts, since I corresponded with them daily for any campaign related questions or concerns.

I cut daily purchase orders to keep ample stock levels from over 100 different vendors, to be distributed to grocery and drug chains in the US. My daily routine included communication with vendors for PO status, price and payment term set up and negotiation for new items and vendors, order entry, and customer service duties including answering phones and responding to customer inquiries.
