Kate Guy Prints is my business that I started to develop my artwork from limited edition prints into batch produced quality homeware. I currently have a range of kitchen textile products such as tea towels, tote bags and aprons. All my designs are my own, developed from linocut and monoprint; they are reproduced onto organic fabrics using a screen printed method.As creative director I design each product and facilitate it's production by various companies within the uk.I currently sell my products online though my Etsy shop; https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/KateGuyPrintmaking, at markets in the London Area and in shops across the UK and Europe

The department I run is very successful with high achievement and enjoyment by all students. I am continually developing my teaching practice and my leadership skills. There are four of us in the department and I enjoy developing and using the strengths and interests of a very dedicated and talented group of teachers. Our curriculum provision is constantly developing to reflect the changing needs of our students and the technological and economic changes in the 'outside' world.We are all practising artists as well as dedicated teachers which leads to a dynamic and relevant, contemporary educational experience for all our students.After working freelance when my children were small I decided I needed a new challenge. I did my PGCE and then got a job at Claremont High School Academy. I was made Head of Department in my first year and embraced the challenge of a new career; the responsibilities and opportunities it brings.

Whilst bringing up my two children for their formative years I worked freelance on various Art and Design projects including; Decorative, sandblasted and engraved glass commissions for private clients and for film and television.Illustration work for David Peace 'Eric Gill; the Inscriptions'; the artwork for this is now in the Victoria and Albert MuseumCut and Trace work for Sally Scott; Glass ArtistLogo design and development for Heavy Weight Studios

Working on the animated feature film 'The Thief and The Cobbler' Became head of the tracing department after 6 months at the Camden studio, LondonLead the trace department in Budapest during the winter of 1991 - 1992
