Visual artist, working predominantly with painting and drawing. I use water based mediums, mainly acrylic and ink and work with abstract imagery. Recent works trace the voids, space, and places of memory and loss and imagining the effects of time and motion inside and outside the body. Artists StatementThrough the investigation of material and application of paint I work with ideas of time and space, memory and loss, things we cannot see but feel and experience throughout our lives. I'm interested in the manifestation of metaphysical ideas through paint and finding a non-verbal language to capture this. In colour, mark, shape and gesture I find the fluidity and freedom to convey spaces inside and outside of us, trying to get to the bottom of something not always known; being fully aware and totally unsure.
