As the SVP of Software Delivery, I collaborated cross-functionally to deliver a B2B2C SaaS-based lending web application to financial institutions enabling lending to small businesses. Within the first two months of employment, I introduced a product development process and SDLC, divided engineering into Scrum teams, designed engineering workflows to deliver products and set-up Jira to support processes resulting in predictable, timely releases with quality. On top of that, I led the expansion of the SaaS infrastructure to support the paycheck protection program, eventually providing thousands of small businesses with a fund during the pandemic and driving $60M in revenue.

During my tenure, I spearheaded the software development aiming at transforming the data in and out of the company’s claims processing system, utilizing BizTalk, Informatica, .net, Oracle, and SQL Server and Azure PaaS. I established Visiant's first native Azure offering: Integration Services using Azure App Services and Logic apps providing common Rest API and interfaces in 4 months from concept to first release. In addition, I determined the skills gap for the project and contracted Blue Metal to assist in initial implementation of Visiant Integration Services including full CI/CD pipeline and infrastructure as code.I joined Visiant through the recommendation of my previous manager, Apratim Purakayastha, who was the GM of SaaS Products at SevOne to my hiring manager, who had worked with him in the past at ACI Worldwide.

In this capacity, I oversaw the software development, quality assurance (QA), architecture, and doc teams consisting of 45 engineers and 4 managers across 4 sites in Massachusetts, Delaware, Bulgaria, and India. On the same note, I facilitated the adoption of Scrum in a multi-year agile journey by training, mentoring, and evolving the Definition of Done for the entire engineering organization of over 140 engineers. In addition, I led the quality initiative in the R&D organization by training on test strategies, increasing regression automation, and building a scale and performance team and strategy, which decreased the customer-reported defects. I developed an R&D scorecard to measure the company’s progress against defined initiatives.

As the director of software quality assurance, I integrated my startup, Nukona, into Symantec by creating an initial critical response team, training support engineers, as well as onboarding and mentoring SaaS operations teams while transitioning to operations organization. I served as a corporate quality leadership team member, accountable for contributing to the company’s executive quality dashboard and product quality improvement initiatives. Moreover, I orchestrated the move from waterfall to agile for the Enterprise Mobile organization across 6 sites in collaboration with Director of Software Engineering resulting in higher quality, better collaboration and more frequent releases.

I owned the management and availability of SaaS operations in the Amazon cloud for the App Center product, which assisted enterprise customers with the deployment and security of their applications and mobile devices. I created all of the test plans and swarmed with developers to complete all testing in short development cycles in order to deliver value to our customers. I also provided Pre- and Post-Sales Support for App Center deployments resulting in very high satisfaction ratings. I wore whatever hats were necessary to assist the CEO and CTO, which supported the company's successful acquisition within 7 months from my starting employment.I was the 10th employee at Nukona, recruited by the CTO Jeff Enderwick, who was my prior Engineering Director at Cisco a few years before.

In this role, I directed a diverse team to operate the SaaS, deliver Customer and Professional Services, Training, support pre-sales demonstrations, and project manage customer engagements for mobile video delivery. I supervised offshore development teams to deliver mobile applications and websites, and project managed mobile application roll-outs of both system and application development. Also, I maintained a 99.9% service level agreement (SLA) for the company’s hosted services, including Cisco ASA firewalls, Cisco switches, EMC SAN, ESXi hosts, and Azuki Wireless Platform appliances.While working at Cisco, I was called by the CEO, Jim Ricotta, of Azuki, who I had worked with at Cisco after the Sightpath acquisition, and asked to run Azuki's SaaS Operations, where I joined my prior CEO, Cheng Wu, from Arrowpoint, who was the Chairman of the Board, and the CTO, Raj Nair, who was also from Arrowpoint.
