The Walking and Cycling Index is the biggest survey of walking, wheeling and cycling across the UK and Ireland. In Scotland, each of our cities reports on the progress made towards making walking, wheeling and cycling more attractive, everyday ways to travel. Working in a small team, I coordinate and deliver the programme in Scotland.

Way to Work is a partnership project engaging workplaces across Scotland with active and sustainable travel. The Way to Work website is a resource that supports employers and employees to transform commuting and business travel. My role leading the project involved partnership working, communications and engagement, and managing and developing the website.

I led on all communications for the IDEAS network, working to increase engagement both with our members and with wider audiences, in line with the our strategic priorities. My responsibilities included creating and managing content across our digital channels, as well as leading a communications sub-group.

My role within the project was to support with communications and events on a national level. I was based at IDEAS (International Development Education Association of Scotland), the Scottish partner on the Bridge 47 project.

As an Account Coordinator for the Client Management team, focusing on the German market, I carried out integral organisational and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth-running of processes with enterprise level clients in Germany. My role involved working closely with Account Managers and liaising with colleagues in the wider business.

During my year abroad at university, I worked as an English Language Assistant at Karolina Burger Realschule in Ludwigshafen, Rheinland-Pfalz. My role involved leading lessons or assisting in lessons across all year groups of the school. I also modulated oral exams for the upper levels.
